Generations was created with a photo of my grandparents taken in the 1930's. It was during the Great Depression where they along with so many others in the United States faces social and economic hardships. Despite the difficult times they stood proudly in this photo which to me reflects perseverance and strength. This textile art work was created with muted hand dyed textiles to reflect the era. Photo transfer was utilized to apply the photo to the textile art work along with an overlay of tulle fabric.
